It is important for you to understand exactly what PEGINTRON® is and how it works.
PEGINTRON® is a pegylated interferon. Because PEGINTRON® stays in your body longer, you only need to administer it once a week, compared to 3 times a week with standard, or non-pegylated, interferon. This means that by the end of your treatment you will have only one-third of the shots required by other types of treatment.
